I didn’t start out in psychology—I first earned my degree in musical theater at Kent State University. That experience taught me a lot about empathy, connection, and the power of story—all things I now bring into the therapy room. Later, I followed my heart into psychology, completing my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology.
Along the way, I dove deep into learning about perinatal mental health, trauma, and resilience. I became certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and was honored with recognition for Clinical Excellence in Suicidology. I’ve also sought out extra training in many therapeutic approaches—from CBT and ACT to Brainspotting, mindfulness, and somatic practices—because I believe no one tool works for everyone.
My path has taken me through OB/GYN clinics, hospitals, private practice, and crisis centers. I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people through some of life’s most tender and difficult moments—pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, trauma, and big life transitions. I’ve led support groups on topics like “scary thoughts” in postpartum, sleep challenges, and self-compassion, and I’ve worked side-by-side with medical teams to bring mental health care into women’s health settings.
What all of this boils down to is simple: I’ve gathered a lot of training and experience so that when you sit across from me, I can meet you with both knowledge and genuine care. I’ll never come in as the “expert who has all the answers.” Instead, I bring my background and skills into the room so we can figure out, together, what truly supports you.
