Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at kate.kittredge@arborwellnesscenter.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely not! Being a person is hard! Living in the world is hard. We all need support at times, and it is so valuable to have a space where you get to be heard and supported. Therapy is a wonderful way to gain new tools and insights into your experiences and help you feel empowered within your experience.

I offer a free short phone call where we can connect and talk about what is bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and make sure we feel like a good fit!

Once we’ve had our consultation we will work together to find times and dates that work for your initial session. Or reach out at Kate.Kittredge@arborwellnesscenter.com

Yes, I aim to be an ally in and out of the therapy space, creating a safe and welcoming space for you to show up in your full humanness! Everyone is welcome here.

At present I am a fully virtual provider! This allows us to find a space where you feel comfortable, private, space without the added drive time! I utilize HIPAA compliant video/audio options for our sessions so we can hear and see each other!

PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. PSYPACT is designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology and the temporary in-person, face-to-face practice of psychology across state boundaries.  In order to practice telepsychology in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only, can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT).  In order to conduct temporary practice in PSYPACT states, psychologists licensed in PSYPACT states only can apply to the PSYPACT Commission for a Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP).  The PSYPACT Commission is the governing body of PSYPACT and is comprised of one representative from each PSYPACT state. Yes. I currently am paneled with BCBS, BCN, AETNA, and CIGNA.

If i am not paneled with your insurance I can provide a superbill as an out of network provider. I also offer private pay and a few sliding scale slots.

For the first intake session it is $230. For a 60 minute session it is $200. And for 45 minutes it is $175.

Credit card, flex spending and health spending cards. I use Ivy Pay to process all payments.  IvyPay is a HIPAA compliant and security safe card processor, ensuring protection of sensitive patient health information.

Unfortunately most insurances don’t. I am happy to provide a super bill at the end of services that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Payment must be received at time of appointment and prior to release of any reports.

Under the law, health care providers are required to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. This includes related costs like evaluation sessions, ongoing therapy, and written reports if applicable.

What to Expect:

  • You will receive a written Good Faith Estimate before your first appointment or upon request.
  • This estimate will include the expected cost of services based on your needs and treatment plan.
  • The estimate is not a contract or a bill; actual services may vary depending on your individual progress and clinical needs.

Your Rights:

  • You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
